Winnabow Volunteer Fire Department was founded July 14, 1960. The Department was housed in a single bay building located on Highway 17.

Then in 1976 a new 3 bay station was built on Governors Road which housed the department until 2023 when our department obtained property on Highway 17 and built our new Headquarters station.

Our Department operates as a combination department with a full-time Fire Chief, day staff composed of Part-timers, and supplemented by volunteers. We operate 2 stations and cover roughly 90 square miles of Brunswick County.
